Fairy Garden

This necklace has been living in my imagination for over a year. This is the first piece I made for what became the Wonderland collection.

Upcycled vintage strips of cotton sari were braided and sewn together to create the main “chain”. On either end of the braid are connectors where two strands of silk thread join. One side features a lobster clasp for easy wear.

Each strand features hand sculpted polymer clay fairies, clay roses, vintage ceramic and wooden beads and findings. The crystal beads on each are: carnelian, jade, rose quartz, amethyst, apatite and lepidolite. 

This statement piece carries with it much of my imagination and heart. I hope you will wear it with compassion, curiosity and joy.
