The Keeper of the Crossroads is known by many names. Hecate, Hekate, Selene, the goddess of three faces, mother of magic and witchcraft, etc. 

The duality of her nature is exemplified by the fact she stands at the crossroads. She grants wealth and curses, mistress of the night, guardian of women as a maiden, mother and crone. Liminal spaces is where she thrives as her most impressive ability in (Greek mythology) is the ability to travel between the realms. She was an aid to both Demeter and Persephone while still finding time to empower the sea witch, Medea. 

Hekate thrives in mystery. She doesn’t exclaim her power. She is her power. She is the flame illuminating shadows; the loyal mother to lost children; the wise voice of reassurance to those who seek out her guidance.
